PT KAI Divre III Palembang Ujicobakan Lokomotif CC202 di Petak Lahat-Bungamas
[12/2]. Pada hari Kamis, 11 Februari 2021 PT KAI Divre III Palembang mengujicobakan lokomotif CC202 untuk melalui petak jalan Lahat-Bungamas yang terletak di lintas Lahat-Lubuklinggau. Uji coba dilakukan dengan menggunakan lokomotif CC20229 (CC2029014) yang berangkat dari Lahat sekitar pukul 14.05 WIB dan kembali dari Bungamas sekitar pukul 15.00 WIB. Uji coba ini dilakukan untuk melihat kemampuan petak jalan Lahat-Bungamas sejauh 25 km yang telah ditingkatkan untuk dilalui lokomotif bertekanan gandar 18 ton seperti CC202.

Selain mengujicoba petak jalan Lahat-Bungamas, uji coba ini juga dilakukan untuk melihat beberapa hal di petak jalan Lahat-Bungamas secara lebih spesifik. Salah satu rangkaian uji coba ini adalah mengecek ruang bebas di Terowongan Gunung Gajah. KLB uji coba sempat berhenti di mulut Terowongan Gunung Gajah untuk diukur dimensinya dan mengukur bagaimana selisih antara dimensi lokomotif dengan ruang bebas di terowongan. Karena sebelumnya, lokomotif CC202 belum pernah melalui lintasan ini. Ukuran lokomotif CC202 yang lebih besar daripada lokomotif CC201 dan CC204 yang rutin melalui lintasan Lahat-Bungamas dan Terowongan Gunung Gajah menjadi alasan mengapa terdapat rangkaian pengecekan ruang bebas di terowongan pada kegiatan uji coba.
Uji coba ini berjalan lancar. Lokomotif CC20229 yang menjalani uji coba kembali ke Lahat dengan selamat. Apabila hasil pengukuran dan uji coba memuaskan, maka tidak menutup kemungkinan lokomotif bertekanan gandar 18 ton CC202 akan mulai merambah lintas Lahat-Lubuklinggau. Kemungkinan terbesarnya adalah perubahan rute test run lokomotif perawatan di Balai Yasa Lahat yang biasanya berjalan Lahat-Banjarsari pp ke petak jalan Lahat-Bungamas yang perka nya lebih sepi.
