(10/11) Indonesia kembali kedatangan Mesin Perawatan Jalan Rel (MPJR) baru dengan tipe Multi Tie Tamper (MTT) Unimat Compact 08-275/3S buatan Plasser & Theurer. Saat ini MPJR tersebut sedang melakukan perjalanan menuju Balai Yasa Mekanik Cirebon menggunakan truk trailer multiaxle.
MPJR ini didatangkan menggunakan jasa pengiriman VTP Logistics dan mitranya. Sedangkan kapal yang membawa kereta ini bernama California.
MTT yang dipesan kali ini adalah Unimat Compact 08-275/3S. Namun terdapat sedikit perbedaan, pada bagian cowcatcher terlihat lebih tebal dan kokoh dengan struktur jaring-jaring.
MTT dengan jenis Unimat Compact 08-275/3S memiliki beberapa fitur terutama dapat melakukan tamping baik di jalur rel biasa (plain track) dan wesel (switch and crossing). Selain itu, mesin perawat jalan rel ini dilengkapi dengan fitur synchronous three rail lifting untuk meningkatkan keamanan pada saat melakukan tamping di daerah wesel.
Saat ini, PT KAI memang sedang melakukan progres penambahan dan pembelian armada-armada mesin perawatan jalan rel untuk menambah armada dan memperbaharui armada-armada mesin perawatan jalan rel yang mulai usang.
Hingga berita ini ditulis, dua unit MPJR tersebut sedang beristirahat di kawasan KM 57 Kosambi. Kedatangan mesin perawat jalan rel terbaru ini dapat menambah kapasitas dan mempercepat proses perawatan jalan rel kereta api di Indonesia. (RED/rnovanto)
