Jalur Cipatat-Padalarang akan Lanjut Dibangun 2022
[23/9] Jalur KA Cianjur-Padalarang saat ini telah berhasil direkativasi hinggai Cipatat, KA Siliwangi pun juga telah beroperasi sampai stasiun ini. Akan tetapi, untuk tahap akhir yaitu reaktivasi Cipatat-Padalarang sepertinya harus menunggu agak lama.
Dilansir dari Bisnis.com, reaktivasi petak Cipatat-Padalarang rencananya akan dimulai pada tahun 2022 mendatang. Proses reaktivasi di petak sepanjang 13,8 km ini dinilai oleh Direktur Jenderal Perkeretaapian Kementerian Perhubungan (Kemenhub) Zulfikri sulit karena gradiennya yang tinggi dan juga kondisi geografis setempat. Oleh karenanya, perlu dilakukan proses studi terlebih dahulu sebelum kemudian dilanjutkan kembali. Sebelumnya diketahui dari LPSE Kementerian Perhubungan telah ada pengadaan studi trase Cipatat-Cilame yang dibuat pada 21 Januari 2020 yang proses lelangnya telah selesai.
Zulfikri menjelaskan proses reaktivasi ini merupakan tahap ketiga dari keseluruhan proses, dengan tahap pertama dan kedua telah selesai. Tahap pertama yaitu reaktivasi petak Cianjur-Ciranjang sepanjang 15 km telah selesai pada 2019 lalu. Sedang tahap kedua adalah reaktivasi petak Ciranjang-Cipatat sepanjang 15 km yang baru selesai kemarin.
Proses reaktivasi ini dilakukan oleh Kemenhub untuk mengurai kepadatan lalu lintas di jalan raya di Jawa Barat bagian selatan untuk mengurangi kemacetan. Sebelum reaktivasi, jalur ini sempat tidak beroperasi sekitar 7 tahun lamanya. Selain itu, Kemenhub juga telah melaksanakan pembangunan jalur ganda Bogor-Sukabumi sepanjang 57 km. (RED/IHF)
