Terdapat hanya tiga orang di dalam kereta saat kejadian, yaitu kondektur, pengawas KA, dan seorang penumpang. Ketiganya ini mengalami luka ringan akibat kecelakaan ini. Sang penumpang dilaporkan sampai memecahkan kaca untuk keluar dari dalam rangkaian sebelum kemudian dibawa ke rumah sakit sebagai antisipasi.
