Sebenarnya, produk semacam Train Chicken with Rice sudah pernah dirilis pada April 2018. Saat itu, Reska merilis sebuah makanan yang memiliki nama serupa yakni Train Chicken. Perbedaan dengan menu yang baru yakni tidak adanya embel-embel with Rise pada produk yang lama.
Nihilnya embel-embel tersebut disebabkan karena tidak disertakannya nasi sebagai sumber karbohidrat tetapi Reska menggunakan kentang sebagai penggantinya. Kemasan yang digunakan oleh pendahulunya masih menggunakan plastik yang tidak ramah lingkungan sementara pada produk suksesornya, Reska menggantinya dengan kemasan berbahan kertas. Train Chicken with Rice sebagai produk suksesor disajikan dengan baik dalam kemasan kertas. Dengan banderol OTR (On The Rail) seharga 35 ribu rupiah, sobat RED sudah bisa mendapatkan satu kotak makanan berukuran lumayan besar. Kotak tersebut berisi nasi sebagai sumber karbohidrat, dua ayam berukuran besar sebagai sumber protein, tiga macam penyedap rasa, dan peralatan makan seperti sendok dan garpu plastik, tusuk gigi, dan tisu. Menurut saya sendiri, harga tersebut berbanding lurus dengan menu yang sobat RED dapatkan.

Nasi yang disediakan lumayan banyak, hampir setara dengan porsi ayam yang disajikan meskipun saya menghabiskan nasinya lebih dahulu daripada ayamnya. Dua ayam berukuran besar yang saya dapatkan adalah bagian dada dan bagian paha bawah.
Sobat RED bisa tenang karena ayam yang disajikan memiliki banyak daging, bukan hanya berukuran besar karena bagian kulit krispinya saja. Rasanya? Menurut saya sendiri, rasanya tidaklah buruk karena terasa seperti ayam krispi pada umumnya. Namun, poin plus yang ada disini yakni ayam tersebut tetap kenyal dan tidak alot.
Seperti yang sudah banyak orang ketahui, makanan yang dijual oleh Reska merupakan makanan beku yang dipanaskan kembali di atas kereta makan. Pemanasan ulang ini tidak membuat ayam yang dijual menjadi alot, hal yang terjadi di luar perkiraan saya.
Tiga macam penyedap rasa yang disediakan yakni satu plastik sambal bermerek dengan keterangan sambal pedas yang rasanya sama sekali tidak pedas, satu plastik sambal korek yang ternyata tidak ada korekannya dengan rasa yang tidak pedas, dan satu plastik mayones yang kurang manis. Untuk ketiga macam penyedap rasa ini, penulis berharap agar kedepannya Reska dapat memberikan penyedap rasa dengan kualitas yang lebih baik dan isi yang lebih banyak untuk menyesuaikan dengan dua porsi ayam yang berukuran besar.
Sementara itu, peralatan makan yang telah disediakan dalam produk ini sudah baik. Namun, ada baiknya sebelum membeli produk ini, sobat RED sudah menyediakan tisu dalam jumlah banyak atau sapu tangan pribadi karena makanan ini memiliki banyak penyedap rasa bersifat cair yang mudah sekali berlepotan. Tentu akan ribet sekali apabila sobat harus bolak-balik ke toilet sebelum menikmati produk ini.
